Tattoo Aftercare
LETS TALK TATTOO AFTERCARE.
Your artist may have applied a protective adhesive wrap over your new tattoo -this stays on for an additional 3 days.
During these 3 days, it is normal for the wrap to fill with ink, blood, and plasma (we call this an "ink sack".)
3 days later
Wash hands. Remove the wrap while in the shower and allow the water to run over your tattoo- this helps to release the stickiness for a smoother removal process
With clean hands,
Use unscented, antibacterial Dial soap to clean your new tattoo -a couple times a dav.
Allow your tattoo to completely dry.
Apply unscented Lubriderm lotion 2-3 times a day or as needed
Gently, but thoroughly massage the lotion into your skin.
DON’T go into direct sunlight until your tattoo is completely healed
DON’T submerge your new tattoo into unhygienic bodies of water
DON’T scratch or pick at your tattoo while it is healing
DON’T allow other’s bodily fluids around your new tattoo
DON’T restrict your new tattoo from receiving air with tight clothing
DON’T use scented body wash, lotions, or fragrances while healing
